I think the photo is portraying the fear of being ignored or forgotten. I think the photo is successful in conveying the fear. It clearly shows a person in isolation and it seems as if she is sad. Also the black and white filter adds a sad effect. I think this photo is really good. Its good quality and clearly shows the fear you are portraying. Maybe the background of the picture could be in color to show that the world is having fun, but the person is in black and white to show she is being forgotten. Overall, this picture is perfect.
The monochrome feature of the picture is really satisfying. Especially because the different elements suit each other. There's a solid white, solid black, solid grey, and glinting black segment within the picture that compliments each part. I would, however, crop out some parts.
I think the way you convey your emotions is shown and makes the piece more interesting. Good use of location to express your message.
